What scale is best for a beginner?
1:10 is the most common RC scale, at one-tenth the size of a real car. Beginner and experienced RC hobbyists enjoy 1:10 scale for its wide availability of parts and lower weight.
Should I go with brushed or brushless?
A brushed motor is mechanically driven & a brushless motor is electronically driven. Both have their advantages. Brushed offers simple operation & easy control, while brushless are more efficient & longer lasting, with greater expense & complexity.
What kind of ESC is included?

Is the Sonic waterproof?
The Sonic is IPX4 water-resistant. This means it will withstand moisture and splashes for all your off road endeavors. But should not be submerged.
